Basics of Mobile Videography
A one-day, hands-on workshop. Participants learn to shoot, light, record and edit professional video on the smartphone they already own, and leave with a finished video for their business.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the day, participants can:
- Set up a smartphone in pro mode and choose the right settings for video
- Light a product, a person or a space with simple, affordable equipment
- Record clean sound with a microphone placed correctly
- Plan a short video from a brief and a shot list
- Edit footage in CapCut with pacing, music and captions that look professional
- Produce the next video in-house, using a repeatable checklist

- Marketing, communications and social media staff
- Sales staff who demonstrate products
- Customer service and operations staff who explain how things work
- Business owners producing content for their own business
No experience needed. Participants bring a smartphone with a pro camera mode and a laptop, with CapCut installed.
Methodology
- Classroom demonstrations, then hands-on practice after each topic
- Small teams of 4 to 6 shoot real content for each participant's business
- Supervised editing at the participant's own laptop
- Group playback with individual feedback

Assessment and follow-up
- The finished video, reviewed in the group playback
- A second video made within 10 days, reviewed by the trainer

Fee and HRD Corp claim
RM1,499 per participant, including 8% SST. Claimable from the employer's HRD Corp levy, subject to levy balance and HRD Corp approval. Our HRD Corp registered training partner files the grant with your HR. HRD Corp claims close Fri 6 Nov 2026; grants must be approved by Thu 12 Nov 2026, 14 days before the workshop. Maximum 30 participants; the workshop runs with a minimum of 5.
